LYNDALE Boulevard

Gut renovation and restoration of a 1935-built Florida cottage that was in near condemnable condition. To make the most out of 728 square feet, we redesigned the interior for maximum space efficiency. Walls were removed and systems reconfigured to create a great room which houses the kitchen, dining room and living room. Optimal light flow has been achieved in what was once a dark and dreary space.

Original doors, windows and hardware were restored and repurposed, while new cabinetry and millwork were custom designed in keeping with the historic character of the home.

Drought tolerant, Florida-friendly landscaping and sustainable crushed-shell hardscaping was also designed and installed. We contracted the City to pour a new wide sidewalk, and a Chickasaw Plum tree was strategically planted in line with the kitchen window.

Shaker peg rails were custom built and installed in all rooms to provide flexible storage and organization.

The home's detached garage featured a full, 1/1 in-law-suite above, as well as two large storage units, on the ground floor in the rear. Our team restored the in-law-suite, and re-constructed the storage units into one large studio workspace.
